Just thought I would get a head start on January because I will probably forget with the holidays coming up and being out of town. 

We should meet at Linkwood Park at 3699 Norris Dr.  I have never been here, but it was a recommendation.  9:30!

We will be meeting this month at the Old Braeswood park at the crossing of  Maroneal and Morningside Dr.  It is a fun park with a play structure and a bunch of donated toys.  We will keep playgroup on Wednesdays at 9:30am.  See you there.

End of September/October

Hi Everyone!

Come to the playground (the one on the side of the pool) located on the intersection of Newcastle and Evergreen in Bellaire! It's where the Nature Discovery Center is. Again, we'll meet on WEDNESDAYS and I'm going to change the time to 9:30am starting September 19th. (I changed the time to a little earlier because it gets too hot later in the morning now that we're doing non water stuff. :) We'll go here for the next 6 weeks.

I'm thinking for the 31st of October, having a fun Halloween costume/cookie frosting/games playgroup at the church! Let me know if you're interested in helping bringing sugar cookies or frosting or coming up with some simple games or coloring activities.

Also, FYI, I'm going next Friday, the 28th of September, to the Miller Outdoor Theater for Hansel and Gretel. 11am. If you want to join me, let me know! (832) 588-0202

Also, I'll be going with my kids to the Nature Discovery Center Pumpkin Patch/Games on Saturday, October 20th. It starts at 11am and goes until 4pm. I'll show up right at 11am. The games are fairly cheap and you can purchase your pumpkin there, too. I think we even did a hayride, and that was fun for the kids! Check it out. Again, let me know if you want to meet me there!

August 23rd Playgroup

August Playgroup

For this month, we'll be swimming at the complex pool at address 6301 Almeda Rd., the Tingey's complex. As you turn into the entrance, turn right and enter 1592 to open the gate. Park in the garage. July 19th and July 26th playgroup

Hi sisters, We're going to meet tomorrow at the Camden Apts pool again. We'll go to the one on the Brompton entrance. Call Laura (phone number is below on another post) for entrance through the gate. We'll meet at 10am.

For next Thursday, the 26th, there's a show at the Miller Outdoor Theater, Goldilocks, at 11am.

Playgroup Tomorrow NOT Cancelled!

I found out that there's an indoor play area in the Galleria that would be fun to check out tomorrow (July 12th) at 10am. Exit off Westheimer (off of the 610 freeway) and head west-ish. Pass Post Oak Rd. and look for Saks 5th Avenue Store on your left. There will be a parking lot near the store. I'd enter the store (or right next to it) and head in. July 5th and 12th Playgroup

The place we're meeting for tomorrow and next Thursday will be at the pool at Camden Vanderbilt at 7171 Buffalo Speedway.  When you get to the gate, buzz the staff and tell them you are meeting the Robins from #1015 at the pool.  The staff doesn't get there until 10 a.m., so getting here early probably wouldn't work out great :)  Laura will have her cell (661-618-2869) with her at the pool in case anyone has problems getting in.  I'll (Amanda) will be there, too and my cell is (832) 588-0202. The pool is directly behind the welcome center.  Parking is unreserved except for the spots in front of the garages. See you there!!!

Hey ladies!

I apologize again for not posting for this morning...the last two days have been hectic. I'm back from being out of town and ready to play!

Tuesday, 12th, 11am, Miller Outdoor Theater, Pinocchio. Located in the Hermann Park. Free admission. Find me on the left side of the seating area facing the stage.

Thursdays, 14th-28th, 10am, Riverwalk Condos Pool(my place - 2300 Old Spanish Trail). I'll let my guard know - say you're here to swim with the Arnett's. You can find a place to park off to the left as soon as entering or just in that general area. The pool is right behind the security guard office. Parking is all up for grabs.

May 24th and 31

Hi playgroup ladies,

I'm changing the location for playgroup for the next two Thursdays(24th and 31st) to the Hermann Park splash pad. I will personally be out of town, until June playgroup. We'll meet at 10am and the splash pad is located near Fannin Street and Cambridge. (southeast - ish corner) park in the parking lot off of cambridge street before reaching Fannin St. I'd look on a map online if you've never been there before. Have fun!

Hey Everyone! Playgroup will meet at Colonial Park, located east of the 610 and north of Bellaire blvd. off of Academy Street. Just type in the name "colonial park Houston, TX" in http://maps.google.com/ and it'll show you where it is. It's a really nice, gated park...hope to see you there!    This week, Thursday, May 3rd, instead of going to colonial park, we will have playgroup at the miller outdoor theater(located within Hermann Park-again google map miller outdoor theater, and it'll show you). There's a children's play that starts at 11am. I'm going to bring lunches for us and will eat afterward up on the hill. Bring blankets, kite, anything else you think we'd enjoy doing afterward! The plays are usually under an hour.


***Also, if the weather gets killer hot later this month, look out for a change in our location....we might move to someone's pool or the Hermann Park splash pad. :)

April 26th Playgroup

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to let you all know that instead of meeting at the nature playground for April 26th, we'll be meeting at the church in the cultural hall. Bring balls and bikes. :) We'll have VT interviews going on during that time, so if you want to kill two birds with one stone, sign up next week to have your interview! April Playgroup

Hi everyone!

We'll have our playgroup this month at the park on Evergreen and Newcastle in Bellaire. We'll go to the one on the same side as the swimming pool. Let's go for 10am too, because it's going to get warmer this month. Next Thursday, April 5th, we'll have our Easter Egg Hunt at the park. Bring a bag or basket and at least 5 "stuffed" eggs per child. We'll do the hunt around 11am after the kids play a bit. Call for any questions or whatever! March Playgroup

Hi sisters! For the month of March, we'll be meeting again every
Thursday between 10am-10:30am at the playground across Bellaire City
LIbrary, near the swimming pool. Because it's hard to explain
directions, please just go on google maps online and type in "Bellaire
City Library, Jessamine Street, Bellaire, TX". You'll see a big green
park north of the library and that's where we're meeting. I recommend
parking off of 5th street. If you have questions, call me! Amanda
(832) 588-0202. We will meet also the week of the rodeo trip on Thurs.

Oh, and this is optional, but we're going as a ward to the rodeo March
7th, Wednesday. We're going to meet at 9:30am at the gate.(Trust me, around 10-10:30am all of the buses come with the elementary school kids! Park in
Yellow Lot (Public). Parking(cash) is $12. A tram will take you to the gate. Enter Gate 16 off Main St www.rodeohouston.com/guest-services/handicap.aspx.
The entrance fee for the livestock show is $2.50 dollars a person over the age of 2 for this value wednesday
we're attending.) I am going to pay at the gate, it's easy and you can pay with credit card. Oh, and
I am not attending, so can one of you who can go for sure at 9:30am let me know and then I can give ya'll her phone number so you all can be in contact with each other?

February 9th Valentines Day Playgroup!

Hi sisters! We'll go to the same park as listed for February, but I have a couple of ideas to make it fun. Can each of you bring a few valentines to share with everybody? ALso, we'll make a valentine bag together to put the valentines in. Also, I think I'll ask a couple of us to bring heart-shaped cookies and someone else to bring frosting. February Playgroup

We're meeting this month at the Karl Young Park north of Braeswood Blvd. and west of Stella Link. The address is 4000 Tartan Ln. There isn't very much room for parking, so Kyrsten Crawford has suggested that we park near her house on Tartan Ln. and walk to the park.
